The Mascot Atlas is a field guide to the characters that businesses, cities, and sports teams send out into the world: costumed, printed, inflated, or bolted to a roof. Every entry is a real mascot spotted somewhere real.

A mascot can be spotted many times. The same flame in four cities, photographed by four people, is the whole point.

The rules

Photos belong to the people who took them, and are shown with their permission. The mascots belong to their companies; we catalog them the way a field guide catalogs birds. We don't sell anything with anyone's character on it.

The Atlas is a project by Mascot, a studio that designs and produces mascots. We built this because we can't stop looking at them.
